ANDALUZ OMBUDSMAN ASSOCIATION MEETS. ARAGON

The defense of the fundamental right of access to public function performs this association is not confined to the Administration of the Autonomous Community of Aragon, since it affects a fundamental right of all English-and even to a large extent, all citizens of the European Union, the scope of our efforts are to affect all the English government, something that we are fully conscious.

Therefore, during the past two months, we made a special effort to disseminate the recent Supreme Court decision by the joint government-national, regional and local-and also make it known to the institutions of control and protection of the rights of citizens, such as the Ombudsman, the Justice of Aragon and other similar arrangements in the Autonomous Communities.

believe that public institutions responsible for the protection of fundamental rights have to assume office, to the fullest extent necessary, to defend the right of public access to public service, fighting strongly the arbitrariness with which the government largely been operating in this field for far too long. For the Government of Aragon is a clear example of this, and it has been declared by the Supreme Court.

Recently, it has received the Ombudsman's response to the reference Andaluz This association made the decision of the Supreme, to understand that it was directly relevant to the exercise of its mission and, thus, seems to admit in response you submit. We may take to amend the behavior of the authorities in this matter, but we are fully convinced that it has begun the process of restoring the right of access to public service, and in that process is crucial the role be played by institutions such as ombudsmen, state and autonomous.
