One of the resolutions adopted by the new Board of Directors of the Association at its meeting last Tuesday 5th April, was the development of a proposal to political parties, which were contained measures of good governance and good administration whose impulse or implantation fit to undertake during the next legislature.
This document, which is now the priority of the Board of Directors of the Association, taken as a starting point prepared during the previous elections in May 2007.
Although many of the measures proposed in 2007 remain valid, given what little we have improved in this area along of this legislature in Aragon, time imposes an update of the same and also recommended a review of the document, to place the need for a professional and efficient administration in the current framework of economic and political crisis live Most European democracies, especially our country, as the current context, and the immediate challenges that lie ahead, make it more necessary and urgent than ever a program of good governance and good governance that allows public institutions to regain credibility and functionality, making it the main factor of confidence for the whole of English society.
We must reflect on the changes demanded by the present and the future and the need to be extended, the administration at the service of citizens, developing a program covering both the result of our reflections as the progress in this direction have been produced in the Central Government or in other regions or measures which, without development, are commitments made by the State, such as those contained in the UN Convention against Corruption or other instruments.
Good governance and good management can not be reduced to a theoretical or rhetorical discourse or the mirage of ambitious standards but disapplying, but must be the commitment and the common requirement of public servants and citizens, and also of the media-public institutions that manage and serve the general interests, a requirement which implies the adoption of a civic ethics demanding by citizens, as the ethical climate of a society and its institutions will largely be determined by the attitudes and values \u200b\u200bthat will guide citizens in their social relationships and their participation in public space.
The document aims to develop this partnership is open to proposals from all who wish, with their contributions, expand and enrich the vision of its partners, so that its contents may be useful not only to the future direction of the activity of the Association but also those who want to promote or undertake a program of regeneration democratic institutions and a review of the state current Administration and its public, to restore the role that the Constitution reserves to the defense and service to the public interest.
